We stopped in t the Beehive Pub and Grill on Main St. in Logan on a Friday. The restaurant was busy with customers. The hostesses were a bit disengaged and not the model of a warm and welcoming greeting. We followed our hostess to a booth table and sat down to review the extensive menu.

The Atmosphere

Entering into the Beehive it felt a bit like a busy beehive. The floors are concrete with high-ceilings. Noise is at a higher level but not over distracting. The staff was a bit "new age edgy" with ornamentation and attitude but we were determined to see how the food was.

The Menu

The menu was certainly diverse. The offerings range from classic pub dishes to innovative culinary comfort foods with a focus on Mexican cuisine. They are known for their Beehive Nachos, generously layered with melted cheese, fresh jalapeños, and creamy guacamole.

I ordered the Guacamole Jalapeno-Bacon burger. It had house-made guac, jalapenos, applewood smoked bacon, and jack cheese. The burger came with fries. Diane had the Chile Verde Burrito. It was made with slow-cooked pork in a traditional green chili sauce, wrapped in a flour tortilla, topped with cheddar and jack, and pico de gallo. Served with rice pilaf and a cup of their soup of the day.

So in summary...

The food was really pretty good. The seating and traffic seemed a bit over-the-top. The booth seats and table were slightly worn but clean. Over all we could find ourselves going back to try something else on the menu. We would probably be more selective in our seating choice. The pricing was about right for us ($15 each). They did have some very high-end dishes that looked good but seemed out of place for the environment. We had a good time.
